Blog #5 - Brainstorming Informative Essay Topic

One topic I'd like to write about is NUCCA chiropractic. Since, NUCCA is a very different form a chiropractic care I'd like to write about what it is, and how it helps people.  "NUCCA is a procedure preformed on the neck to focus on correcting a small misalignment of the upper neck. This small correction helps balance the entire spinal column. Clinical studies show that improved body balance reduces stress throughout the body and helps to relieve pain." (http://www.nucca.org/index.php)
Another topic I could write about would be long-term effects of lack of sleep. I can include some reasons why people could get a lack of sleep, the negative side effects, and how to prevent lack of sleep.
Personality types could be another topic to write about. I'd include the different types of personalities, their characteristics, and examples.

Blog #4 - Practice Informative Writing

There are many different ways for people to start making running a habit. One way to go from couch to 5k is the "run then walk" method. This is when you jog or run for a set amount of time and once that time is up your walk for the same amount of time that you ran for. It's a simple way to get your stamina up. This method does take awhile for you to see the results.

Another way to go is to simply run. You should also have a goal in mind for your running. For example, be able to run a 5K by a certain date, or run a half marathon. Running is the quickest way to lose weight as well!

Make sure you have the right running gear for the day and the right pair of shoes for your feet. Having worn out shoes can cause injuries and actually make is harder to run. Also, make sure you dress for the weather that day. I always dress as if it were 10 degrees hotter than it actually is.
Try to remember that running is a difficult task and if you keep to it, it will become easy!
