Food Insecurity
I found this topic the most interesting out of all the conversations that we had over our topics. I did not know about this before hand. Food Insecurity is when you don't know when your next meal is. Alie made an interesting point that many people can get food, but it isn't healthy food when they're on food stamps.
Something we can do about this is, when we have a food drive we always try to buy the heaviest thing that's out there. When in reality most families aren't going to use a big bag of flour or sugar to eat off of for a month. Instead of being selfish, we should start adding better foods for people who really need it.
Another way to help the issue is to provide food is in schools. Having breakfast and lunch at school is better than not having anything at all. This could be applied at schools where food scarcity is most prevalent.
Social Media
Social Media can be very destructive if people don't start thinking about what they are posting and how it'll affect their lives in the future. There's many different topics within social media that can be covered. The fear of missing out or destructive posting.
Finding stories about how doing a certain thing online ruined someones life could be used to inform people.
Eating Disorders
There's anorexia and bulimia and they're both completely different from each other. Something that could be done, is bring them to light and inform people of the dangers that occur. Also, inform people that it's OK to talk about it and get help.
